How to Make Your Skin Awesome!

  • Exfoliate! I can't stress this enough. When you're young your skin typically
replenishes new skin cells for a smooth vibrant complexion. Even then you can experience a dry flaky appearance after a season of dry indoor heat and frigid temps. As you age your skin cell regeneration tends to slow down thus leaving you with a dull complexion and who wants that?  Uncover the beautiful skin under all that dull dead stuff by gently buffing your skin with a good exfoliating product 2-3 times a week. Continue this on a regular basis and your skin will be fresh and glowing, ready for anything summer can throw at you!

  • Moisturize! Removing dull skin cells is key, but keeping your skin moisturized is very important to your skin's health and well being. Skin loses its natural moisture via Trans-dermal water loss, AKA TEWL. This is the movement of water through the epidermis.A good moisturizer can make the difference between fresh, soft looking skin and dry, lined, flaky skin. You should reapply moisturizer as needed, especially just after bathing to help maintain your skin's natural balance and retain humidity in the epidermis. Most people can lighten up on the intensity of their lotions or cream as warmer weather approaches, but it will depend on your skin type.

  • Speaking of Moisture... Make sure you drink plenty of water (or water-based beverages) every day. This will help you inside and out. While there is really no medical evidence that proves being hydrated will improve your skin texture, it's pretty much a no-brainer that being healthy and hydrated will certainly help you look and feel radiant and beautiful! • Foot Facts!  Are you ready to reveal your tootsies to the world after hiding them in boots and tights all winter? If you don't have time for a full pedicure at least soak your feet to soften calluses and dry patches and then give them a good buff with a moisturizing foot scrub followed by a moisture treatment, preferably overnight with light socks on to help the product sink in.

Warm weather is fast approaching, believe it or not. It's time to get your skin ready for more revealing fashions. Here are a few quick and easy ways to get your bod summer ready:
